For over 25 years, I have worked as a filmmaker, but my most meaningful project was one I created for my own family. Before my in-laws became unwell, I recorded them talking about their lives, preserving their voices and memories in a film that has become a treasured family heirloom.

Travel costs may apply for locations significantly beyond 20 miles from central Oxford.
We specialize in creating a comfortable, relaxed environment. Our gentle approach and pre-interview conversations help put even the most camera-shy individuals at ease. We work at their pace to ensure they feel comfortable sharing their stories, whether in Oxford or elsewhere in the county.
No, I remove my voice entirely from the final film. My goal is to create an intimate viewing experience where your family member appears to tell their stories directly to the viewer. Through careful editing techniques, the conversation flows naturally without any interviewer presence.
Every family has stories they prefer to keep private, and we completely respect that. During the editing process, you'll be able to review the film on a private webpage and provide feedback. I can easily edit out any stories or information you wish to keep private—you have complete control over the final content.
Comfort is key! I typically frame the film from the waist up, so feel free to wear your coziest slippers. Choose something that makes you feel relaxed and confident—solid colors tend to work best on camera, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable.
You own the completed film entirely—it's your family's story and your keepsake. For privacy and storage reasons, I delete all raw files and footage a few weeks after delivering your finished film. The final product is completely yours to treasure and share as you wish.
